The web preferences allow you to limit the disk space consumed by E@H, both in absolute and relative (% of of free space that must be left).
On multicore CPUs (especially on i5 and i7 hyperthreaded CPUs with up to 12 virtual cores), you might want to limit the number of cores that may crunch in parallel. Of course this will reduce your throughput.
