Hello! I'm experiencing an issue with Einstein@Home in BOINC Manager. The tasks run normally up to 100%, but when computation reaches 100%, I get a "Computation error" message like "Computation error (0.2 CPUs + 1 NVIDIA GPU)" or "(0.9 CPUs + 1 NVIDIA GPU)".

What I'm observing:

  • Tasks run normally until they reach 100%
  • When reaching 100%, they fail with computation errors
  • Errors involve both CPU and NVIDIA GPU
  • Some tasks are still running normally (progress between 0.13% - 7%)

Your computers are hidden so

Your computers are hidden so we can't examine your errored results to offer any suggestions.  The stderr.txt file uploaded to the project would likely explain why the tasks error out.

the task isnt erroring AT

the task isnt erroring AT 100%, BOINC changes to 100% immediately when a computation error occurs. you've got the order of events reversed. easy to tell based on your runtimes for those tasks.

agree with Keith that we need to see the host task details to see why it failed.
