Hi.

The computer was started with the drive connected with settings without the U.2 port where the drive is located enabled.

The error "16 yellow LED flashes: Replace unit. Drive Logging Fault" indicates a problem with the saved disk failure logs. This usually means a serious problem requiring disk replacement, but if I can't do it, then.
Is it possible to do this under Linux Ubuntu by connecting via the disk's USB port to perform a Secure Erase of the disk. Using sg3_utils or hdparm.
Is this the correct solution to recover data, or possibly restore the disk to work?
Or do I need to do it in a different way?
Can anyone help me with this?
