Topic 227467

I have a thread called "Motherboard Reviews" which has wandered off into an entertaining sprawl of conversation.

I would like to move that conversation to another thread "Conversations about your/my computer setups".

The thread begins to diverge in message 194863 of Motherboard reviews.

I will attempt to create a comprehensive message number list of the ones I would like to have moved.

I am assuming that this will be much less time-consuming for a moderator than having him/her "decide" if a message should be moved.

Alas the only apparently

Alas the only apparently relevant button I have for that is to convert, which places a single post into a newly created thread of it's own and that's clearly not what you're after.

There's no mechanism for me to transfer any single or group of posts to another existing thread.

{ Indeed ( sorry ! ) I seem to have accidently deleted one of your posts in this thread while testing that possibility .... }

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

... and my other CPU is a Ryzen 5950X :-) Blaise Pascal

Rats.  Seti@Home must have

Rats.  Seti@Home must have been using a different version.  They have, that is why I assumed the Moderators here could too. :(

Tom, If I were you, I'd look at the individuals (click on that individual's name under their avatar) that are drifting way off topic for a  given topic and click on the "Report User".  That sends a notice to a moderator and you can spell out the concern you have.  Then the moderator will send a notice to the individual... and so on.  If they succumb to complaint, all's well.  If not... well... the next is up to you.

Just tried the one there and the code was "bad".  Plus it has no narrative just the multiple choice.  The "Report" that you see at the top of each message is similar.  It has multiple choice but no place to add comment(s).
