Oh... erm... is this the word

Oh... erm... is this the word everyone's not unjumbling *point at leftierussol*

FerolTissue - vernacular term for the length of toilet paper that rabidly clings to the bottom of your shoe for several miles after you visited a public convenience.

Except... the fourth letter isn't an "l" which is what I think it's supposed to be.

Which means it must be:

SellFruitoes - a business diversification model, to avoid excessively taxed produce in your sweet shop if you can't move it to a tax haven.

There we go. All done :)

edit: I see there is a PYUPP too... position your up perpendicularly prone

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

Yes. And I can't tell you how glad I am that you're back and working on it.

1. A single solitary correct letter. (And also missing one.)

Accurate analysis.

Er, no, but you have quadrupled your correctness, including the letters that were paired in the other guess.

That was just tossed out as an example of how silly computers can get. I'm sure in it's binary mind, all the letters were in different positions than where they belonged.

Weird... *scorch earth with

Weird... *scorch earth with eyes* Computer logged me out and didn't remember my password. It's as if it expected me to remember it! *SNORT* Like that's going to happen...

Sorry for the delay, everyoneDavid :) Got waylaid puzzling Jord's imminent mystery party on the 28th.

*Contemplate einsteinians everywhere* That's tomorrow, people.

Okay, so where am I?

Hmmmm... oh. I've lost my piece of paper...

Um, okay well while I go find it... I'm going to start looking at this arrangement to build on:

S - - L - - - - - - - S

*look vaguely and shiftily into distance* Mortified as I am by that missing letter, David... I feel I should really resubmit feroltissue as ferolltissue

Yes :)

Of course, there is a possibility that by doing that,

this:

Quote:
A single solitary correct letter.

...might now be complete garbage... *bend eyebrows into one interesting shape*

Is it complete garbage?

:)

I hate when the Boinc sites do that.

Hmm. Obviously I need to catch up with Boinc.

No. You have retained the one and gained another, and it is not one that anyone has had so far.

Amongst all the guesses to this point, there are a total of six correct letters. That's half.

You might also want to go back to the clue I gave when I first posted the word.

Soilfluteers - charming

Soilfluteers - charming semi-microscopic earth inabitants closely related to the hydra, and once believed to be part of the mushroom family. Much like ocean going whales, scientists can now say with confidence that their high, sweet whistling to one another plays a vital role in de-stressing earthworms and may even be why so many insects opt for their babies to start life in soil - in order that they benefit from the lullaby properties soilfluteers impart to it.

Stelliferous - a very precise racket involving a stellar mass, some steel drums, jump leads, a wall of loudspeakers and 200 magic mushrooms.

Stulfeiresol - (pronounced stee-eulf-ee err-oh-sole) technical word for a device that randomly, and of its own accord, releases air freshener into its immediate environment.

I still haven't found my piece of paper.

My brain says I've looked everywhere, but as I don't have it, it's clearly wrong.

Oh. Okay.

I wonder if I'm looking for the wrong colour...

You've done it again. And I'm not talking about leaving a letter out of a word in the first line.

Fits the original clue, don't it?

Carry on. (I'm too tired and crabby to say who should carry on. You can fight it out.)

Okay, so it's not from when I originally posted the word, it's from this post. Nevertheless, I thought you had caught up with the entire thread.
