I haven't looked at what you wrote yet. I will at some point.

I don't have my previous notes, so I can't relate any of this to what either of us said before.

Quote:

orangeist rirmf - the orangiest of all orange rirmfs

moist arf-ringer means having a: moister fringar rather than a drier one

stir firm orange - how an artist mixes the orangiest of all oranges.

mister rainfrog - when addressing from the stance of a mere minion, the politest form of greeting for world leaders.

So. Useful tip there... *reach for notebook*

fies mirror gnat - the attempt to kill something teeny tiny and harmless with something big and roundish and explosive... like a cannon blast, or a nuclear missile... and failing... often left surrounded by the rubble of what you didn't fail to hit.

remistorrafing - to double-bluff

3, all in a row
4, two pairs
3, all matching above
0

5, which is surprising, considering how utterly wrong it is

I'm not sure where all this will put you on your elimination grid.

I just managed to attach a band that fits my wrist to my replacement Samsung Gear 2 Neo (after the first one crapped out), so I'm feeling magnificent. No. Magnanimous. Or beneficent. Or something. Something other than hungry, that is. Okay, maybe a bit magnificent too, but it's offset by frustration with how long it took.

So here's a new mini-clue: there are two letters that have not been correct as yet. Furthermore, the word with the three in a row is the only time those three have been right, which is also true of two others.

I would like to point out that it's been several days since the last attempt at Seti.

Nope. But you may stir my forearm* though.

Cheers, Mike.

* It is overwhelmingly likely that I have never stated that to anyone. Ever. So there. Do appreciate the offer, will you ?

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

If you insist

:)

You haven't said anything about how many of these:

AEFGIIMNORRRST

are in the right place, David.

So I'm making it my next word.

AEFGIIMNORRRST - banned sausage, possibly Icelandic, but most probably Gaelic in origin. Legend has it, it was made from the forearm of sassenachs *avoid looking at Mike's*. They got a little temperamental about it, which is why it is now banned. Might get unbanned on independence and become a major export to the EU.

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

AerimfirgSnort - a snort

AerimfirgSnort - a snort snorted inopportunely. Often during a sudden silence or lull in background noise

Imaginst0rrfer - Cornish for misunderstandings relating to contract law

narrofigermist - mathematician who squeezes enormous quantities of calculations into tiny spaces instead of starting a new page.

And I got the matrix up to date too... no need to check it or anything *wave hand airily whilst smiling* I know you're busy.

You're right. The number of times I've said how many letters are right in the original jumble is zero. Zip. Nada. A big fat goose egg. But now it's one.

Well, out of sheer boredom, I just took a quick look at it. However, I'm not sure what your x and z mean.

If x means the letter definitely does not go in that spot, then you have one wrong. If I get *really* bored, I may go back and see if that's my fault. But don't count on it.

[update]

Seti going down vastly increased the odds of me getting bored, so I did review. I did not say anything that would have led to the incorrect x.

The error in the other is not here, nor is any other x error. I will not comment on the ys or zs.

As it sits, it has 1 correct. However, it has too many letters total. Without one of them, there would be several more right.
